Before using a manual.
How do I find the right garage door manual?
Start with the manufacturer, model number, and any label on the door section, track, spring tag, or operator. Manuals can differ within the same product family. CSI can help identify the information to look for.
Can a general framing diagram replace the product instructions?
No. A general diagram helps collect opening dimensions, but the selected door, track, headroom, hardware, wind requirements, and building conditions determine final framing and clearances.
Does CSI install parts it supplies?
The current CSI service information says technician installation is available. Call with the door information so the shop can discuss the part and appropriate service.
Can I replace or adjust a garage door spring myself?
CSI does not recommend it. Springs, bottom brackets, cables, and counterbalance hardware can release dangerous stored energy. Keep clear and contact a trained garage door technician.
Let CSI help identify the next step.
Call the Trenton shop or send the basic door information through the service form. For a door that is stuck or unsafe, stop operating it and call.
